Reciprocity I tend my garden it grows. Like my appreciation cultivates it along with the rain, soil and sun. It knows what it needs but can’t tell except in signs I must learn to read. I can’t. It shows. Somehow it forgives as I forget untimely deaths and celebrate what still lives. So it goes… our dance of reciprocation of failing and learning of knowing of growing dedication. © Saraphir Camille Legind

Herb garden in a concrete block bed: there is thyme, tarragon, basil & parsley in the front & a metal fairy ornament in front of oregano and chives. And some wild flower that just showed up.

There is already life in the garden, in spots that have been protected.

Are inexpensive grow lights legit? Do they all use a ton of energy? Recommendations?

I live in an apartment that gets about as much sun as a cave interior, but I want some plants.

Very proud of my 50+ avocados growing in our #Melbourne SouthEast backyard. Happy to hear tips from any #urbangardener on keeping bats, possums, birds, rats, owls or other garden cohabitants away from them. The few we had last year were buttery and the best we have ever eaten.
