We had 2,301 matched #Meteors last night across the UK Meteor Network, many #Perseids! Our 4 #GMN #MeteorCameras in #Oxfordshire picked up loads because they're very sensitive, but visually we were seeing about 20 per hour. The radiant is very apparent on these track-stacks! #PerseidsMeteorShower #MeteorShower

Loads of #meteors captured last night on our #GMN #RaspberryPi #MeteorCameras from Oxfordshire, UK, many of them #Quadrantids. Here are the track-stacks, 248 meteors on UK000F, 416 on UK001L, 418 on UK002F with the shower #radiant in the middle + 314 on UK0006. Dotted lines are aircraft that were in shot at the same time as a meteor.

Here is the #radiant map of the #meteors captured on our #GMN cameras overnight 13th14th December. All of the blue trails are #Geminids

Despite it being cloudy for over half of the night in Oxfordshire on 13th/14th December, we captured 1169 meteors on our 4 #GMN cameras. Across the UK network we had 2,528 matches but several cameras had so much data that they were late uploading so the real figure is higher! #GeminidsMeteorShower

The #Orionid #meteor shower peaked on Saturday 21st but unfortunately I was clouded out. 🙄

But on the 19th my #GMN Global Meteor Network cameras still managed to pick up a few Orionids (almost 100 between the 2 cams).

Also picked up a few meteors from other showers including: Epsilon Geminids
Leonis Minorids
Chi Taurids
Southern Taurids.

It is a relatively busy time of year for meteor showers.
