I used to be 🤯 of them, not because due to #bigotry but when I first 🙉 of them I wasn't #educated on the whole picture.
Hatespeech laws🚔 aren't 4 banning of #criticism , but more directly 4 protecting #marginalized people from being #harassed and #bullied for 👭 👬 traits and identitiy
Not having these protection could threaten the livelihoods of #minorities. From #trans to #gay people, marginalized people are the #minorities in danger for existing.
@krutonium yeah, the only way I don't get #hatespeech served as "recommendation" if not literally #AutoPlay is by using #invidious all day long!

The Guardian: Elon Musk’s X sues New York over hate speech and disinformation law. “Elon Musk’s X Corp filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against the state of New York, arguing a recently passed law compelling large social media companies to divulge how they address hate speech is unconstitutional.” Sometimes I just read these excerpts over and over, trying to get them to compute in my head.
Let's be clear, calling people antisemitic for speaking out against Israel is no different than calling people racist against Americans for calling out the Trump Administration.
People protesting against ICE disappearing non-Whites without due process aren't committing hate crimes against the United States, or the White Supremacist race (such as the Proud Boys employed by ICE). On the contrary, those protesting the Trump administration are standing up for democracy and are amongst the most patriotic Americans.
Yet Netanyahu's administration has somehow convinced the world that even the most casual criticism of his violent regime or disrespect of IDF authority is a hate crime against the entire Jewish people, and has convinced most of the people under his direct influence and control that they are different from the rest of the human race and others are their enemies. This "us vs them" rhetoric is in every dictator's playbook, to isolate people from global views.
There's a reason why Jews around the world speak out against Netanyahu's Israel, but none within Israel. Because Israel's Imperialism has nothing to do with being a Jew, or with Jewish heritage, religion, culture, or lineage. It has everything to do with the Israeli nationalism which is hyper-inflated within a media-controlled fascist state.
Speak out loud against fascism, at home or abroad. Don't let dictators gaslight you.
I have heard Israeli Jews claim that Jews who act against Israel are "not real Jews and don't know Jewish history". Obviously that's a lie. "Real" Jews have lived in diaspora for ages, keeping their culture alive around the globe long before Israel existed. Their erasure is the real antisemitism.

I like that with #buddhism everything you need to do is in one place, easlly accesable. Doesn't ask you to obey a single authority figure, or encourage you to use #hatespeech unlike other #religions
