I have an #iFit #nordictrack elliptical that has great content, okay hardware, and terrible software. It’s a 12 click process (between it and iPhone) to get it started on gym mornings. Wake it up, tell it which user, scan a QR code, confirm the code, confirm that I want to login, retrieve credentials from password manager, confirm that I’m really logging in, close the browser, close the QR code camera, simple! I’m really glad that they’re so attentive to the possibility of malicious exercise equipment users getting some cardio in my house.

It was 11 F this morning so I decided to get my dreadmill going. I heard that iFit messed with the functionality to build maps online but I couldn’t even find my old maps this morning 🤬
The only reason I bought a NordicTrack treadmill was for the Google Maps integration; you could build a route and the treadmill adjust the incline/decline based on the location and tge screen shows the Google Streetview from that location. It’s not video but pretty good, it would even upload to Strava as though you had run there. Anyway they broke all that stuff so now the only reason I was paying for an annual subscription is gone. #ifit
Finished my 6-week workout series this morning. Ran for 30 minutes straight yesterday, the first time in more than 18 months. Feels great to be back at it.
