On tällainen siirto meikäläiselle sellainen vans-inä-laiftaim -juttu. 🙄

Help!

It looks like my instance home.social is shutting down so I need a new home. Any advice folks?

Thinking of moving to ravenation.club if they will have me but right now I'm clueless as to how to go about moving.

Pretty gutted as I landed on home.social as a complete newbie and it's been a solid instance with a broad and respectful community.

Like many others I came here in the great #migration a few weeks ago. I joined this instance because it was basically the only one I seemed to be able to get on at the time, with a thought of moving to an instance more specific to my interests later (prob LGBT or books-related). But a couple of weeks in, I'm wondering if I really need to? This instance seems pretty decent and I've no idea how to find other ones anyway! In 2022, in addition to my PhD, I participated in the Klima-Biergerrot (Citizens’ Assembly on the #Climate, #Luxembourg) project as a member and spokesperson. The project was important and interesting but also showed me that the absence of governance in a participatory environment is a huge challenge.

I've moved, it's #Introduction time!

I have just finished my PhD on the uses of Facebook and Twitter by four museums (BE/LU) and their audiences. My PhD research focused on #OnlineParticipation, rethinking access (to the #Museums and #SNS, as public sphere), visible and invisible use(r)s, present and missing data.

Apart from research, I like #Sewing, #Knitting and #TextileHistory, I garden on my balcony #SmallSpaceGardening and Brittany is my happy place.
