@liaizon Installed fine (v 2.9). I still prefer #iodeos. #eos has an awfull launcher (personal opinion) try too much to look like ios and you can remove the standard apps from the homescreen

I am really happy with #iodeOS. Had to reset my #fairphone. restore with #seedvault worked great. had to reinstall some stuff, but most stuff was there

Help. The #aurora store is not finding all apps (#iodeos, #fairphone5). When I fake a different device ... It works

Und was auch nicht geht ist der Smooth-Display-Modus mit 90 Hz. Da ruckelt es. Also bei 60 Hz rumdümpeln.
Die Helligkeitsregelung des Displays ist auch gefühlt schlechter als bei Android. Bei dunklen Umgebungen ändert sich dauernd sprunghaft die Helligkeit. Aber jetzt Schluss mit dem Gemecker. Unterm Strich bereue ich den Umstieg nicht.

Kann es nicht verifizieren - so neumodischen Kram unterstützt unser alter Opel nicht. 😉

So, nach langem Zögern habe ich mich diese Woche vom normalen Android verabschiedet und auf meinem Fairphone 5 ein Custom Rom installiert. Ich habe mich für iodéOS entschieden. Fühlt sich ganz gut an, wieder etwas weniger von Google abhängig zu sein.😊

Aber wie befürchtet, funktioniert Android Auto damit nicht mehr. Zukünftig also wieder mit Handyhalterung im Auto navigieren 🙄

@Kurt from what I understand they're working directly with the people at #iodeOS for full compatibility.

As for reparability and price of parts, in my experience after market parts from China have been more affordable than second hand devices. Hopefully this is designed in such a way it's not so complicated as typical phones 🤷

Zumindest ermöglicht #Curve mir den Workaround, auf einem (annähernd) Google-freien Android-Gerät (#iodeOS, #microG) per Smartphone zu bezahlen. (Und solange @glsbank keine Wallet-App bereitstellt. Bei der @triodosde sieht die Software sehr ähnlich aus, und sie haben eine ... Standards, so schwierig...)

Just to add to this for anyone that happens to see this thread.

This phone looks really solid and #iodeOS is a fork of #LineageOS which makes sense, since it supports more hardware compared to something like #graphene which is exclusively for #pixel phones.

I fear my phone is dying and this time looking for a #privacy respecting #Degoogled phone with a custom ROM
pre-installed.

I stumbled on this #BraxPhone with #iodeOS I haven't heard much about this ROM for a while. I wonder why they went this route.

It seems repairable and guaranteed updates for many years.

Any thoughts?
