@onipa If you want a scrollable tiling window manager, like #Karousel, then you can try #niri.

Just learned Karousel scrolling WM added a squeeze feature a few months back — it allows to easily squeeze windows from left or right that aren't fully in view to the current screen and it's awesome!

I have been using #karousel on #KDE for several weeks, and yesterday shifted to #PaperWM on #GNOME. Took some time to configure things like I wanted, but it's much smoother than karousel (and fancier).

Overall, I like the scrolling tiling pane paradigm. I realized I've been manually doing something like this using workspaces with 1-2 windows per workspace with two keybindings - one to change workspace and one to switch windows inside a workspace.

Really dig my current desktop environment:

- #KDE plasma 6 base on #nixos
- #karousel kwin script for scrolling tiled window management
- #yakuake for a drop down terminal with #nushell

Anyone runs something similar? Feels like I finally found a perfect sweet spot between productivity and freedom.

Evaluating #Karousel - scrolling window manager for #KDE and really enjoying to so far!

5 days in and #PaperWM is better than #karousel at the current stage. The default keyboard shortcuts are more sane to me and it feels snappier. Although I had to remap some keys on #PaperWM , I'd need to remap every key on #karousel . back to #GNOME

I just moved from #GNOME #PaperWM to #KDE #karousel . #SameSameButDifferent

I am loving the power and ease of #kde #plasma without sacrificing the super power of tiling wm with #karousel scrolling tiling wm.
I think its similar to #paperwm for #gnome

This the best setup I have since #Hyperland
