More people become unemployed, less jobs available in the job market. yle.fi/a/74-20046290

What sort of cures do the government of Petteri Orpo (NcP) provide? Check below.

Yle article.

The number of unemployed jobseekers has started to rise in the summer.

The number of unemployed jobseekers has also risen since last year. At the same time, the number of job vacancies has fallen sharply.NCP/BF/CD/SPP GOVERNANCE FOR THE WORKING CLASS. limiting the right to strike. limiting political industrial action and support strikes. increasing strike pay and extending it to the worker The national mediator will follow the level of the export sector in wage increases. if the general level of wage increases is tied to, say, five per cent per contract period, then for someone earning โ‚ฌ5,000/month that means an extra โ‚ฌ250/month in pay, for someone earning โ‚ฌ2,000/month it means โ‚ฌ100/month. The pay gap is widening, and there is no way to close it. In future, non-organised companies will also be able to reach local agreements between the shop steward, the workers' representative or the entire workforce, just as in the case of organised companies, it is no longer worthwhile for companies to organise themselves into employers' associations, because they can reach agreements locally even if they are not organised. collective agreements will no longer be universally binding, because universality will be determined by the number of employees in organised companies, i.e. anyone can agree on anything, which means that employers will be able to dictate working conditions (it is already possible to agree locally on better pay or working conditions).Increased job insecurity. fixed-term contracts can be concluded for one year without justification. the notice period for dismissals is reduced to seven days. the first day of sick leave is unpaid. a worker can be dismissed without justification, which makes dismissal easier and significantly reduces job security for the employee. the collective agreement law does not have to be complied with except in companies with more than 50 employees. the minimum period of notice for changes under the collective agreement law is halved for companies with less than 50 employees. the take-back obligation is abolished. the working condition for unemployment benefit is extended to 12 months.

The eligibility period for unemployment benefit will be extended to 12 months. the euroisation of the eligibility period will come into force, with the result that the lowest paid part-time workers will in practice not receive unemployment benefit. unemployment benefit will be graduated from the current level, so that after eight weeks of unemployment it will fall to 80% of the initial level and after 34 weeks to 75% of the initial level. The phasing in of holiday pay will be restored, the retention period will be reduced from five to seven weeks. the age exemption rules for unemployment benefit will be abolished. the child supplements to unemployment benefit will be abolished. the protective components of unemployment benefit will be abolished, which will reduce the profitability of part-time work.On top of that, the adult education subsidy will be abolished, so teach your children to go straight into a job they intend to do for their whole career, because those who remain in low-paid jobs after education must either have rich parents or, with all this job insecurity, should be able to save for later study. Housing benefit will be cut, so if you are on a low wage, think twice about whether you can afford to live in the growth centres where the demand for your work is, but fortunately you will be able to buy a cheap petrol car to travel to work from further afield, because the government promised you cheap petrol in its election manifesto.

As we live longer we should also have the possibility to work longer. This choice needs to be available. If #labourmarkets adapt this will bring great opportunities eg for knowledge transfer.

#Introduction

I am a Sociologist at Goethe-University Frankfurt. I am mainly doing research on #Poverty, #LabourMarkets, and #SocialPolicy.

I am currently working on a project on systems of public benefits to low-earners in Europe (#inworkbenefits, #EITC, #SocialAssistance). I am looking at effects on labour markets and social inequality using #EU-SILC and #OECD data (thanks to funding by the German Research Foundation). I will post updates here and look forward to learn about new research.
