It's always a great day when I get to teach my favourite 2 player board game to a new friend.

Lost Cities — a Reiner Knizia classic — is small and it has simple mechanics, yet nearly every decision of whether to play or discard a card (and which card) becomes a strategy mini game on its own.

(We also played two other favourites of mine, Star Realms and Hive.)

celebrates its 200th anniversary as a town this year - but in the stunningly preserved area around the old church you can catch a glimpse at the Westphalian village it was before 1825.

This gem, 'Lost Cities', made it to the table a few times this past week. KOSMOS Verlag's 2-player strategy card game designed by Reiner Knizia features a simple yet engaging ruleset, offering meaningful and tense decisions. It’s a fantastic way to relax with your bestie, chat, and get in some gaming.
