I decided to honor the vintage Mexican folk art frame by painting this still life. It has Mexican folk art pieces throughout. For example, I found a wooden retalbo box online that I adapted. It also has a Tonala pottery cat. Even the vase was a folk art piece that I adapted for the painting. The only personal things I added were the sunflowers.

*Edit* - I made three small changes to the painting and it is now perfect to me.
