Annoyingly this scan has made me realise that I have a serious problem in my #darktable conversion flow that is causing some out of gamut pixels. Not a major problem, but I need to work it out.

There's not much to choose between the #MinoltaAutocord and #MPPMIcroFlex lenses. Both lovely more than sharp enough for my eyes, and both give lovely focus fall off.

Travel camera downside of my #MinoltaAutocord : the yashica wide angle adapter doesn't fit it (the viewing lens doesn't attach due to depth). It *does* fit the #MPPMicroflex , though loading that is a touch more stressful. May need to find an original minolta WA adapter

Just scanned the test roll from the #MinoltaAutocord. Hard to tell as the weather was a bit dull, and I didn't get as good a variety of test pics. The lens is definitely more than sharp enough. Going on gut instinct, the #MPPMicroflex feels like it has better overall sharpness. The minolta taking lens could do with a clean.
Still lovely though, and that focusing lever is a dream (it's hard to go back to the knowledge focusing on the MPP

The first roll from my new #MinoltaAutocord is drying. Looks good after a quick glance. This is actually my second roll but I had a problem with the developer on the first. I really like the focusing know. Less keen on the crank. Its also *very" easy to nudge the self timer. Loading/unloading is nice too.

I seem to have a medical condition that means that globally stupid political actions cause me to buy a TLR.
This week it's a #MinoltaAutocord! Got it for cheaps on ebay, all looks good so far (ignoring the flappy bits of leatherette lifting, should be easy enough to fix).
Shutter speeds, aperture, focus racking, self timer works (always a good sign of general condition). The ground glass is a bit dirty, but generally all good.

Maynard, MA - 2024.

The former textile mill that my little town is centered on. The Digital Equipment Corporation was headquartered here and later, Monster.com. Powell Flutes still resides in part of it.

Minolta Autocord and Kodak Tri-X 320.

Black and white photo of the smokestack of an old, brick mill complex. Two buildings of the mill meet at almost a 90 degree angle, their rooflines forming a “V” that meets in the lower center of the image almost exactly where the smokestack rises up into a hazy, cloudy sky. A wisp of a cloud passes in front of part of the smokestack.

Loaded up some film today. Last time I did was probably… um, I don’t remember. 😬

Color photo of photography equipment and film on a table. There are several 4x5 film holders and boxes of film, a Minolta Autocord twin lens reflex camera, and a Speed Graphic 4x5 press camera. An effect has been applied to the image to give a nostalgic feel.

I was given a very cool old Minolta Autocord. It had a broken focus lever, so I sent it out for repair.

After it came back, I ran a test roll of medium format B&W film through it, and the pictures look great! I'll put this into the regular rotation of film cameras that I use.
