OpenAI has misappropriated my copyright. ChatGPT used the contents of one of my copyrighted books without notification, discussion, or compensation.

Opens Investigation Into ChatGPT Maker Over Technology’s Potential Harms The agency sent OpenAI, which makes ChatGPT, a letter this week over consumer harms and the company’s security practices." Also shown is the top Readers Pick comment by Adrian Segar. "The content of at least one of my books on meeting design, copyright registered in 2010 with the United States Copyright Office, has been added to ChatGPT's database without my permission. It was probably scraped from one of the illegal pirate internet libraries of scanned books. Though I'm weakly flattered that ChatGPT has also incorporated every single post I've written on my meeting design blog (over 750 posts in the last 13 years—around half a million words), OpenAI's flagrant misappropriation of copyrighted works from pirate databases for their own financial gain is beyond the pale."

#KashPatel’s heavy use of #taxpayer-funded resources during his first nine months on the job has contributed to growing questions inside the admin about whether it exceeds the bounds of standard practice. This includes an intense use of security to protect himself & his girlfriend.

He has also used a government jet for some of his recreational travel, such as a golf trip with buddies to a private resort in Scotland over the summer.

But seeing that the event at the Georgia World Congress Center had been secured, & that Wilkins was in no apparent danger, the #SWAT team left before the event was over, acc/to 6 people….

She noticed. So did her boyfriend.

Soon after, #KashPatel ripped into the team’s commander, saying that his girlfriend had been left without taxpayer-funded defenders, & slamming what he saw as failure to communicate their movements up the chain of command….

When Alexis Wilkins, an aspiring country singer dating the #FBI director, #KashPatel, sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the #NRA’s annual convention in Atlanta in the spring, she arrived with a formidable protective posse — a #SWAT team from the bureau’s local field office.

The 2 agents, members of a specialized unit trained to storm barricaded buildings & rescue hostages, had been sent there on Patel’s orders.

#KashPatel Under Scrutiny for Use of #SWAT Teams to Protect His Girlfriend

The FBI director’s travel on government jets has contributed to growing questions inside the #Trump admin about whether he is using taxpayer-funded resources inappropriately.

Obviously he is. No question. SWAT? AYKM?

I have no problem with presidents playing golf once in a while. Everyone needs "down time." And of course it will cost more, because you have to pay for security, transportation, etc.

But when a president spends $10 million of taxpayer money on an international trip mostly playing golf and OPENING A NEW GOLF COURSE HE OWNS, that's using taxpayer money to enrich himself.

He is exploiting the presidency to promote his business interests, and nobody in Congress is saying anything.

And here we go again…

#Trump AGAIN manipulates the #market thus time by pausing the #Mexico #tariffs for a month.

Also he continues to conduct #ForeignPolicy affairs on social media.

After speaking with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico, I have agreed that Mexico will not be required to pay Tariffs on anything that falls under the USMCA Agreement. This Agreement is until April 2nd. I did this as an accommodation, and out of respect for, President Sheinbaum. Our relationship has been a very good one, and we are working hard, together, on the Border, both in terms of stopping Illegal Aliens from entering the United States and, likewise, stopping Fentanyl. Thank you to President Sheinbaum for your hard work and cooperation!

This is just the latest example of how the mainstream industry is built on , , and . Geerling is a reasonably well known figure in the DevOps world, he's not a well know celebrity by any means but if this industry can find value in stealing your content, your ideas, and even your literal voice — they’ll do it.

We have laws against this — but it looks more and more like the AI industry will trample individuals and authors/creators.
