This segment is annoyingly hard. While the other parts are more like #Mononoke, this is more like #SpiritedAway. In the end, it is very #Miyazaki-esque.

Finished #Neva. It was so short, but dang it, was it good. Smooth gameplay, challenging to -just- the right degree.

It took me longer than usual to identify this but I can say it's a nomadic bee. I'm still stuck between Nomada Flava, Ruficornis, or Panzeri though as even looking at specimen descriptions it seems there is only really the jaw shape to define between them.

I forget what the flowers are called :)

It seems like my daughter (<10) found what seems to be a sleeping Cuckoo Bee* (Nomada).
It was sitting still for a long time, so there was plenty of time to try to get a sharp picture of 1 thin piece of grass.

A very green picture with a green, totally blurred background, and a single straw of grass sharp in the foreground with a dark red insect, probably a cuckoo bee, with some yellow spots on its backpart.
The antenna seem to be holding on to the grass, but it is perhaps more a balancing act together with the folded legs and wings.

Spotted this tiny #Nomada sp #bee yesterday, my1st of the year. Usually I see them zipping around the rock gardens, hard to get a shot- this one posed for a minute, resting on some dry grass. This is the only local red bee I know of; cute, apparently parasitic on other solitary bees. "it's not easy, being bee" (line to be sung, in voice of Kermit the Frog). They do feed on nectar, so probably do some pollination though they do not collect pollen (their hosts take care of that!) #nature #Alberta

A very small wasp like bee, it is mostly a deep red-brown with some black markings and black and light yellow on upper abdomen. It is resting on a dry plant stem surrounded by dry grass blades etc.
