Finally succeeded:
* Earliest date is 2 weeks before pension age (not 6 weeks like on the website. 10 was.
* Failed with online applications because: a) too early (but only after I'd completed form), b) my email addresses were already associated with travel card accounts
* Application form downloaded from website was wrong one (mobility not #OAP )
* Needed a recent bill (I don't pay bills as I'm looking after my father in his house) or bank statement (miraculously I still get one in post).
Save the Winter Fuel Payment petition!
We believe as many as 2 million pensioners who find paying their energy bills a real stretch will be seriously hit by this cut:
- Those on low incomes who just miss out on #Pension Credit
- Those with high energy needs because of #disability or #illness
