Reflecting on the challenges of open relationships, I notice they often boil down to two emotions: jealousy and possessiveness.

Jealousy prevents us from finding joy in others' experiences and is, at its core, an inability to value another person. It often stems from our own feelings of inadequacy.

Possessiveness is a feeling we understand with material things - but why would we want to possess another person? Isn't that concept inherently outdated?

Both emotions are human, but freeing ourselves from them can open the door to a genuinely appreciative relationship.

Le principal problème quand on est un homme en couple libre, c'est de trouver une partenaire, surtout lorsque l'on habite une région reculée comme la mienne 😅

De base, c'est déjà dur pour un hommage, mais ça l'est encore plus quand on est en couple libre. C'est confirmé par une connaissance. Encourageant hein ?

Il existe bien des réseaux et sites de rencontres, mais ils sont souvent peu adaptés car généralistes.

Voici ma définition d'un couple libre : ma compagne et moi gardons l'exclusivité de l'amour, mais on est libre d'avoir d'autres partenaires sexuels.

Chacun de son côté, en toute autonomie (en accord avec nos règles).

I miss #OpenRelationship community. Familiar faces, friend base, and locus of social activity. Not that I had great success with starting or maintaining many romantic relationships. But I met some cool folks that way. Most of my Face Friends are from there. And the demographics were a bit closer to mine (perhaps for geographic reasons).

I spend much of my time keeping to myself at home due to the pandemic that is still very much pan. It makes even occasional events a risky endeavor, particularly with talking at volume in large groups.
