Relationships are a spectrum. If the way you build them looks different to someone else's, that's nothing you need to worry about.

As long as no one is being hurt and everyone is openly and honestly communicating, then you are free to build whatever relationships work for you.

This doesn't mean we can't learn from other people's relationships. I've learned about things I've wanted by seeing other people enjoying them, and I've also seen things that I've realised are not for me.
