Growing up, I was taught never to brag or even really mention how well I have done at something -- the cultural norm of "good girl" not drawing attention to herself. Now that I am raising 10yo, I constantly struggle between:

• teaching her to be proud of her accomplishments, not hide them, and even let it be known that she is highly accomplished

vs

• making sure she doesn't grow up to be an obnoxious braggart. Because RBG knows there are plenty of those out there.
