Sai’s Vietnamese Restaurant & Bar - we had early dinner here: 2 Bahn Mi sandwiches 1) number 30 - 5-spice roast chicken; and 2) number 32 - Grilled lemongrass chicken. Really great experience. Friendly staff and endearing matriarch. 💜

El Hospital Virgen de la Torre sufre un grave apagón y necesitó la asistencia de generadores auxiliares

El pasado viernes, el Hospital Virgen de la Torre de Villa de Vallecas sufrió un grave apagón que dejó al centro sin electricidad durante varias horas.

Desde las 4:00 de la mañana, los generadores dejaron de funcionar, haciendo saltar todas las alarmas entre el personal sanitario, dado que 93 pacientes de cuidados paliativos y enfermos crónicos dependen del correcto funcionamiento de máquinas asistenciales como respiradores.

Según Comisiones Obreras, el generador eléctrico de emergencia del Hospital no funcionó porque lleva averiado desde hace más de un mes y la Consejería de Sanidad no ha hecho nada al respecto, dejando de funcionar máquinas de respiración asistida, ascensores, almacenes de medicamentos y otros aparatos vitales para la asistencia de los pacientes. Según relata el personal y los familiares de algunos pacientes, se tuvo que proceder al traslado de emergencia de varios pacientes en ambulancias a otros centros sanitarios, hasta que al medio día se consiguió solventar la incidencia.

The start date for the #SAIS avalanche forecasting season has been set for the 15th December. Hopefully we will have some #snow by then!

❄️ No forecast doesn't mean no avalanche hazard! Get some avalanche avoidance skills if you plan on heading out. There are some great winter skills courses that should introduce this and loads of resources on the SAIS website:
