Trying to get our APAC (143e) STDC feed back up and running. Its been down a while, I've had a few goes at it and just cant figure out why #satdump is not decoding this satellite signal.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Got my C-Band 1200 burst feed going again today.
8 hour graph shown.
One of these days #satdump or #SDRReceiver might work on C-Band and we can ditch VAC.
Its a very tricky mode. Not many ground stations pull it off. Some cool stuff on it, totally worth the effort.

I spent a good part of today trying to get #satdump installed on a raspberry pi so I could record outside. The deb package isn't working, building it myself was a long and repetitive process of tracking down libraries to satisfy cmake, and after all that the TLE's still didn't update (I checked out nightly, this should be fixed!).
Meanwhile, my old beater laptop (which does have satdump installed but has a battery life of 15 seconds) has been set up to record #noaa images automatically but I'm not confident It'll work inside

Today i used #Satdump, which gave me this after decoding 4 passes. Nice. With some tweaking i bet one could get something even nicer.
But that is it so far for my indoor #weather experiments. I might try this "weather" outside now for a change ;)

A generic satellite data processing software.
Decode various satellites with SatDump using your Android device and compatible SDR. Receive #NOAA APT & #DSB, #LRPT, #HRPT, and other satellites, including geostationary ones like #GOES, GK-2A, on-the-go.
A good use case is receiving 137Mhz weather satellites conveniently.

DMSP F17, #satdump doesn't seem to be tuned for F17 as well as F18. The VIS image appears quite picky about timing or some other parameter. With the return of the Sun we won't get any more city lights images until Fall.
I am beyond happy with the latest version of #satdump
The UDP streaming of JASON decoded messages was the spark that caused me to dive in but I have to say, the rock solid decoding has won me over.
I am able to run lower gain and smaller antennas with lower spec'ed CPU and still get more messages that any other #inmarsat #STDC decoder that I have used to date.
(Of course, I have not downgraded any of the RF signal path, but its nice to know I could!).
