What's New
- Extended support for TDS with TLS authentication, now you can connect to the aul server 0.6.2 with DBeaver, for example, which uses the JDBC MSSQL driver (and any other application that uses that JDBC driver)
This is AUL SQL, an open source database server aiming to be (almost) compatible with Microsoft SQL Server for most sane uses, sometimes faster, definitely cheaper, and always more free.

Previously It listened on SQLServer-compatible ports, and supported most of the TDS protocol, but it did so primarily with Go clients which use the official go-mssqldb package.

This is AUL SQL, an open source database server aiming to be (almost) compatible with Microsoft SQL Server for most sane uses, sometimes faster, definitely cheaper, and always more free.

Advantages:
It listens on SQLServer-compatible ports, and supports most of the TDS protocol with TLS (tested against clients which use the official go-mssqldb package)
It supports most of T-SQL, using my earlier projects tsqlparser and tgpiler
Stored procedures are now text files, for which you can use standard versioning practices.
Existing backend: SQLite
Use cases / scenarios
Ready to use for local testing of small applications without a real MS SQL Server (for the subset of T-SQL currently supported by the existing backend)
Can be used to start migrating small applications that use trivial MS SQL DDL / DML
Future versions:

I tried to connect using username/password but this has to be be enabled in the settings before you can use this. Of course I knew this but I kind of forgot...
