I was fortunate enough to go to #Hackaday @hackaday #Supercon last month and saw some awesome #maker #projects. I wrote about it for @makemagazine #make Check it out! ytl.is/s3oR #make #3dprinting #3dp #robotics #hack #sao #badge

Finally wrote up my badge hack, turning my conference badge into a synthesizer keyboard.

And this finally used a potentiometer I picked out of “Tina’s Junk” at #Supercon last year

Ayylmao, got Linux running on my @hackaday #supercon badge.
Now it just needs a display and keyboard driver :3

The image displays a terminal window showing the output of the command `cat /proc/cpuinfo`, detailing the specifications of a CPU. Key information includes the CPU count, vendor ID, model, clock speed, cache sizes, and various performance flags.A laptop with a visible keyboard, displaying terminal commands and code on the screen. Attached below is a device labeled "SUPERCON VOL. 89," featuring a keyboard and antennas, connected with cables to the laptop.

At
@hackaday
#Supercon this year, I gave a workshop on embedded #Rust. Some loved the language, some didn't, but everyone enjoyed the experience. Check out my latest blog for a full tutorial + code along with my thoughts on #embedded Rust: shawnhymel.com/3042/embedded-r

Hackaday: Thanks For A Superconference. “If you didn’t get a chance to see the talks live, head on over to the Hackaday YouTube stream and get yourself caught up really quickly, because that’s only half of the talks. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be writing up the other track of Design Lab talks and getting them out to you ASAP.”

Going live in a few to recap #Supercon! Plus a #HackOClock for my MicroSD data-storage #PCB #jewelry, a vintage #electronics parts haul from Apex Surplus for my retro #cyberdeck, travel hardware #EDC, & more 👀

Ok, my social battery is just about drained. In the past week, I've done #Supercon, a js.la lunch, and today the maker meetup at Laura Kampf's studio. All good stuff, but this introvert is done for a bit...

One of the more ludicrous (but delightful) boards I was given at #Supercon was this one - the CapKey. It's a capacitive-touch keyboard the size of a keycap.

Would tag the maker, but can't seem to find him!

I had an amazing time at #Supercon this past weekend 😍 The workshops and talks were, as always, top-notch, and I certainly enjoyed making new friends and meeting old ones. Keep doing excellent work, @hackaday ❤️

And as I crushed the paper, I had an excuse for a teardown 😇
All analog, no MCU to be found. #supercon

SAO separated into three parts.
Left: PCB with about 20 small LEDs and 3 transistors. On top of the PCB is a 3D printed frame. The lower left quadrant of the PCB is separated by a 3D printed arc.
Center: linoleum print of cat and night sky, mirrored compared to the earlier video.
Right: empty 3D printed outer frame

Even the backside of the SAO is beautiful! #supercon

My favorite SAO from this year’s #supercon is Nanik Adnani’s “Meow a Wish”. Great idea, simple concept, wonderfully executed! ❤️

Not a bad #supercon haul, including some wondering #SAO boards, both built and unbuilt!

A variety of badges, boards, patches, and parts arranged on a table

I wore my Owl head and cyberpunk jacket for the Halloween party at #supercon and a bit Saturday night too. Though I had to keep taking it off to speak to people. At some point I need to add a speaker like those used for some storm trooper helmets.

Fantastic #Supercon this year. I didn’t hack on my badge much beyond putting it into an illuminated case, but I had a lot of really enjoyable talks with people.

I’m really looking forward to tinkering with this badge in the coming weeks…

Having a great time at my first @hackaday #SuperCon!
I gave a lightning talk and succeeded in the SMD solder challenge finals :3

Today at #supercon - while the multimeter and bendy and scope SAOs were the most impressive last year, this hedgehog that @mitten made was my favorite. And now I have one!

(I've been thinking a bit about SAOs / badges. Something like a pocket operator would be a cool badge. Alternatively a synth SAO might be a fun idea)
