Ich habe mich lange Zeit davor gewehrt, #BlueSky und #Threads Zugang zu meinem #Mastodon-Server zu geben, sodass Accounts dort nicht mit mir interagieren, geschweige denn mich oder meine Posts sehen zu können – und hatte beide soziale Netzwerke gänzlich (direkt und über Bridges) ausgesperrt. Dorthin zu wechseln oder neben diesem hier einen Account dort anzulegen, schwebt mir zwar nicht vor, aber ich habe die Blocks entfernt. :fediverse: #Fediverse
#FediTips: threads.net generates super long (I often see 400-450 characters but some may reach a whopping 739) file URLs: image URLs, file URLs, avatar URLs... which may cause issues on Fediverse services that do not consider database schema very carefully on corner cases.
I think we can call it some "Fediverse instance accessibility" - in which case threads.net might be somehow with disability.

Olen nähnyt tällä viikolla useamman ilmoittavan, että poistuu Threadsista tai Blueskysta. Twitterin jälkeisillä alustoilla on leppoisampaa, mutta mitä isommat käyttäjämäärät ja mitä enemmän algoritmivetoinen palvelu kyseessä, sitä enemmän eripuraa.
Eniten pidän Mastodonista, koska voin hiljentää sanoja siten, että on kuin kyseisen sanan sisältäviä postauksia ei koskaan olisi ollut olemassa. Myös seuraajien poistaminen ja postauskohtainen vain seuraajille -näkyvyys on mahdollista.
So people are upset this got removed from #threads.
On your servers, you should be able to decide what content to allow. You're paying for it.
On a service with algos, people are forced to see stuff from people they don't follow etc. So removing whatever you decide will offend them makes sense.
But all the above is why you can't be centralized (or defederate for non abuse) or have algos (or ads) if you want to be a proper public forum. Advocate for the #SocialWeb & #DemocracyOfReach instead.
