#Mouthparts in #mites of the #Acariformes are usually normal shaped as typical for #arachnids. The #chelicerae are the feeding organs consisting of digitus fixus and d. mobilis. #Pedipalps have sensing functions with different kinds of #sensoryorgans. In #Histiostomatidae (#Astigmata) the whole #gnathosoma is modified into a complex #filterfeeding organ that creates an #underpressure on #food surfaces.

it will be used for my artistic production in the ongoing series: under pressure.
these found objects are part of the field of transport of the capitalistic trade. they are part of a one time packaging in the circulation of goods. I use them as a painting surface or for sculptural works.

#UnderPressure war gestern wiederkehrendes Motiv bei #LolaRennt und vor allem #SaraArtley hat brilliert. Dennoch: was Bowie und Mercury 1982 aufgenommen haben ist einfach unerreicht. Erinnert mich an die Frage die ich neulich las: „Welche Künstlerin ich denn gerne mit KI noch mal auferstehen lassen würde?“ Absolut nichts und niemanden. Schlimmer als KI-Muzak ist KI-Leichenflederei.

Replacement pressure switch arrived and I fixed the air compressor.

Surprising amount of plumbing on it. All fittings matched except the small pipe on the bottom had to have its flange cut off as the new one needed an olive instead.

Also surprising, no air leak on the first try :blobcatsurprised:

UNDER PRESSURE., for which we are using not only Klaus Mann’s novel as a backdrop and inspiration, but also seven conversations with artists from Germany and other countries about their respective situations of art under the pressure of totalitarian systems or right-wing extremist parties. Unfortunately, every glance at the newspaper shows us how necessary it is, remains and will continue to be to address this topic... and rehearsals show us once again how important – despite or precisely because of everything – unabashed enthusiasm to play is, remains and must remain!
