I'm so glad I gave #WezTerm a try despite it not being packaged in one of my usual distros yet. It really has it all:
- built-in multiplexer (avoids tmux-in-tmux when connecting to my servers)
- proper copy-mode (vi-like)
- bonus points for its kitty image protocol support.

Just shared my WezTerm¹ configuration. It’s not very long and mostly just adds a few keyboard shortcuts that I find more ergonomically-pleasing, specifies light/dark themes and improves colour scheme consistency and also, if you use Helix Editor², automatically implements light/dark mode theme changes for it in line with the rest of the terminal.

Из решений, которые двигаются в желаемом мною направлении, сходу в голову приходит только #wezterm. Я пробовал использовать его очень давно, и тогда меня отпугнули чудные хоткеи по умолчанию с `super` вместо привычного `ctrl+shift`, которые у меня не получилось сходу массово изменить (не нашёл аналог `kitty_mod`). Сейчас закрадывается подозрение, что хоткеи с `ctrl+shift` [дублировали](https://github.com/wezterm/wezterm/issues/34) хоткеи с `super` уже тогда, просто я почему-то это не понял.

It’s been a while since I updated #AquamarineCS. Now with #WezTerm & #foot!

And #LightMode. I can’t say I like it that much, but I set my laptop to light mode months ago, to be among the cursed daywalkers, and haven’t had any problems. Well, besides that every other terminal app hates light mode, but that’s not *my* fault.

If anything is broken because *of me*, feel free to yell. I don’t use all of those apps all the time, so knowing what’s broken would actually help.

What happened to #WezTerm? I have the 2024-09-28 version installed on Windows and the latest one on their website is currently 2024-02-03. I have some Nerd Font icons not displaying properly and I'm using one of the bundled fonts.

It seems like the best, least intrusive solution is to leave Ctrl+C unchanged unless text is selected. It works in Micro as a copy of the selected text and a copy of the line, when no text is selected (default behavior).

Habe heute den Grund für eine seit Wochen oft auftretende sehr hohe GPU-Auslastung gefunden. #WezTerm mag nicht mit macOS 26 Tahoe. Je größer das WezTerm-Fenster, desto mehr GPU-Last, bei 3840×1620 Pixel² gerne über 90 %. Das reicht, um beim Mac Studio die Lüfter anzuwerfen.

When I got up I was going to hack on Cryptopals in Go. Changed my mind to reading "A Conventional Boy" by @cstross (so much high school D&D nerd nostalgia!).

It's a dark mode version of Tonsky's "Alabaster" because I like my editors and shells dark usually.
