Unlike the direction that Microsoft is heading, the KDE Dolphin file manager will instantly recognize music cds, and pull relevant track tags from the MusicBrainz database. Music can be encoded in a multitude of formats, simply by drag and drop.

Has anyone else found that Windows Media Player is no longer finding album information when loading CDs?

It looks like this change may be intentional. I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else has run into the same issue.
