Total Eclipse 2024 - all I can say is that the photos and video I have do not do justice to this experience at all. I desperately wanted to see it and managed to align a trip for work in the area. I drove to a tiny cemetery in Ohio and watched the entire thing (from 1% totality to 100%) with the groundskeeper there.

The eclipse looked so much closer up (unlike photos) with perfect tendrils of the sun reaching out from behind the moon, and even solar flares were visible. It was unlike anything I’ve seen and far surpassed my expectations. Hoping to be in Gibraltar for the one in 2027 🖤💛

@reallyflygreg@pixelfed.social No doubt! I actually find it a little harder to get a picture of his sister, Boo. She’s the calico/tortie and that dark face is beautiful, but so hard to capture.

@mjausson@mastodon.design He does. When we brought him and his sister home from the humane society, he hopped out of his carrier, claimed the couch and stretched out.

His sister tried to find a place to hide behind the fridge. 🤷‍♂️
