@Dendrobatus_Azureus My ThinkPad W541 would (probably) not be able to run Windows 11 but it runs Arch Linux anyhow. I got used to Linux after switching some years ago.
If something in the kernel is broken, unsupported, or missing then you don't need a MSDN subscription. You can either add it to an out-of-tree kernel module or request your patch be integrated in-tree using the Linux kernel mailing list. As for the BSDs they have their own processes for integrating patches.
Ultimately, the OS belongs to you down to the root level, that's what makes it fun.
EDIT: corrected some wording mistakes (I hit enter on accident) but we're all prone to doing that.
Do not fall for the trap of the ClosedSource operating system underlords. Your computing hardware is perfectly capable of Running a proper operating system maintained currently and run on full open source components
Just go to the following Place read learn and adapt
Stop using closed Source operating systems and software; dechain yourself become unslaved
When you program in C++ use GCC when you write text use markdown. Go full platform independent and full OpenSource and remain dechained

I want to ventilate on how important PPE is since it's the last stop between you and disaster
First these screencaps
As you can see wikipedia clearly states the importance of PPE on motorcycles.
Had my little cousin taken PPE into account he would have survived the crash, given the fact that he had undergone Judo where you learn how to properly break a fall ( he had not)
I'm a PPE freak and use it for everything;
When I cook I use EN388 cutlevel 5 gloves, I use ANSI Z87.1 glasses when I operate machinery like my grinders and drills, along with proper body PPE and earmufs with an NRR of -24dB. Same when I do heavy drilling / demolition / jack hammering, where you need to protect your scrotum and intestines against violent shaking of the machines.
In trucks I have full truck PPE all the way down to my underware, esp designed for driving heavy trucks with heavy loads
If I still screwup I only need to swap out that part of my PPE set with a new one, deduct what went wrong and why, and make sure I dont repeat the mistake

Sketched this real quick. Forgot if this was posted elsewhere.
Update to COTS that brings upto date. Ive also started a new goal for March's bills for the servers which remains the same amount with the amount of traffic we are now getting.
Pays for the servers for 1 month (Post Dated) and the Media cache. £72 for 3 VPS Servers. Main Server , Sidekiq Server & Elk Server with Sidekiq. Last months Media cache bill was £96 from Cloudflare.
Same as last month. Its busier than ever and im keeping on top of things. Cupoftea.social still increases in activity and signups. Done a fair amount of work on all four servers since we were running out of space on one. Biggest problem last month was Sidekiq but solved that as well
@swee Crocus flowers like those (checked the species by taking a picture of your picture) seem beautiful from your picture. I'm sorry to hear. 😞
I sketched another Acceleration Shark thing but I need to line art then color it in, I guess.
Note: I've been using openSUSE Tumbleweed again recently since I can run Btrfs backups per Zypper and YaST configuration update. I love this.
@ivor I use a Lenovo 230W power brick and Lenovo 57++ battery on my ThinkPad W541 because the other brands are risky.
Good thing the power brick contained the failure. 😵💫
The Decentralized Identifier WG has published a First Public Working Draft of Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) v1.1. This document specifies the DID syntax, a common data model, core properties, serialized representations, DID operations, and an explanation of the process of resolving DIDs to the resources that they represent.
DIDs are a new type of identifier that enables verifiable, decentralized digital identity.

@Joannanewsomsuperfan I have a vintage Yamaha PF80 my grandma got in the 80's, need to use it again but it's blocked off by clutter from others trying to clean the house. The keys are a bit heavy but nice and simple for its time otherwise.
Finished fixing up the ThinkPad. Had to transplant a few parts into a donor laptop.
Been working on a #FPGA display controller in Verilog too
I should post more on here.
Have this #minecraft screenshot, I made the skin myself a while back.
@aragubas A lot has changed it seems like :P
I was using OS X Leopard on my first computer.
Is that a built-in wallpaper?
