I finally got around to prepping and uploading a game prototype I made a few years ago. I spent about two weeks recreating a ZX Spectrum classic and this was the result.

It's my first time playing Silent Hill 2 since I lost my wife, coincidently to cancer three years ago (disappointingly, she hasn't sent me a letter yet).

It was always our favourite horror game, and I'm only half hour or so in to the remake, but hits kinda different.

Went for a walk along Yanasegawa in Shiki for the first time. A surprisingly wide open and peaceful space.

It was a bit humid, but fortunately the clouds cooled things off a bit. We met a kappa by the water.

Looking down a flat river running through a wide channel through a japanese neighbourhood as seen from the middle of a bridge. The channel is about 3 or 4 times as wide as the river itself, and the rest of the space is filled in with green weeds and wildflowers.

The sky is a mix of bright blue, and thick fluffy clouds getting darker towards the horizon.

A view of the river from the footpath along one side. From this angle the sky is quite wide open, and the water of the river is mostly obscured by the expanse of greenery in the channel. There is a leafy green cherry tree reaching in from the left side, and on the right a line of buildings can be seen far in the distance on the far side of the river.

The sky is a dramatic mix of light and dark clouds and a few spots of bright blue still shining through.

A low wide shot from in the river channel, from this angle only a small patch of water can be seen to the right through the green weeds which stretch from the near to far side of the channel and far away into the distance where a few buildings can been seen on the horizon.

It's still sunny in the foreground, but the visible sky is all dark and looming clouds.

A stone carving of a japanese kappa creature lounging comfortably head on hands, with it's body poking through a cone shaped rock with a hole in the middle. The statue rests on a small platform set in the water at the side of the river which stretches across the frame to the far bank covered in green foliage.

I don't tend to post my music on here as I keep that over on my work account, but here's a listen at the stuff I get up to professionally.

Was a fun little musical medley I'd written, composed, orchestrated and performed that featured in one of the trailers for Lost in Random.

I can finally get on with my life and catch up on other TV now that I've finished watching all 12 seasons of NYPD Blue.

It's that time of year, so I retail therapied myself a new lens.

I'm a pretty frugal person and I hate spending money that I don't need to, but I love this thing. I just need to practice a bit at 135mm.
