Wow, what a lovely ad. Usually I hate ad's but this one is made by nerds for nerds and really well done.

Notiz an mich selbst: die Draussenfunker (draussenfunker.de) sind per DMR TG 26486, YSF "DE-Draussenfunk" und D-STAR Reflektor XLX905/P digital erreichbar.
Plan for the near future: install Arch and Omarchy from @dhh on my Thinkpad 25 year anniversary edition.
Insight from the vacation: you can have a $30.000 Italian coffee machine and still make a bad coffee.
I really enjoy writing small REST API's with Ruby and Sinatra. Just wrote a distributed service to purge Nginx caches based on URI matching on a Server Cluster and it's just a few lines of code and works like a charm. The worker who does the file search and deletion job is just pure Ruby using the 'daemons' Gem. #ruby #sinatra
Yeah, got my Allstarlink node #65412 working on an old Raspberry Pi 3. It sits behind carrier grade NAT, so there's no way in via port forwarding but I was able to solve this by setting up a UDP proxy for port 4569 over a Wireguard VPN.
socat ftw!
socat -d -d -d -v -lh udp-listen:4569,reuseaddr,fork udp:192.168.1.10:4569
The only problem is that the Server Proxy IP is not announced correctly on the list of nodes - I hope I can fix this in the next days.
I am currently testing Allstarlink with the M1KE from @sharkrfradio and it works pretty well. I am surprised by the quality of the audio; it sounds much better than DMR/DSTAR and the like - almost like a direct FM connection.
Yesterday I was connected to DB0ZW via Allstarlink and heard someone calling QC SOTA on 145.450. Had a nice QSO with DL/F4JYM/P and he was quite surprised to speak to someone in EA connected to a Bavarian Clubstation via Allstarlink 🤣

@IrrationalMethod If you don't oil the snake then it squeaks 😬
I received my Foenix F256K2 retro computer from @StefanyAllaire yesterday and wow, it's a beauty! I didn't have much time, but played around a bit in the evening anyway. I was also intrigued when I found out there's an Ultima III port for it 🤩 #retrogaming #retrocomputer
Playing around with https://github.com/alvinunreal/tmuxai and like it so far. Never heard of OpenRouter before (which is used by tmuxai), and I like the concept. Not sure if I'll use the AI chat much, since I am pretty confident on the Linux command line, but we'll see. Maybe for complex commands it could be a nice little helper and could save some time for man-page reading. #linux #tmux #DevOps
Finally there is a SIMPLE replacement for Sentry available: Telebugs
Self-Hosting Sentry became a PITA once they changed their stack from one Docker-Container to a weird zoo of like 20 services - requiring a powerful server and making updates an adventure. The Sentry SaaS prices are also pretty high.
Can highly recommend it. The developer is also very committed to his product and just brought out Version 1.0 which it 100% compatible to the Sentry protocol.
@sidde thanks for the info. Need to install the ROM as well!
@hetzner I use and love your dedicated severs as well as the cloud services. It's super reliable and the price is right. The cloud services are exactly how it should be: not overloaded with features - just the essentials to build a reliable and easy to maintain infrastructure. Auto-scaling would be good to have for cloud VM instances though!
