Google’s emissions are up 48% in 5 years. Microsoft’s are up 30% since 2020. Those soaring figures are being driven by mass investments in data centers to power AI tools.

Indeed I anticipate interesting discussions about how to move forward as digital rights civil society regarding the increasing authoritarian turn in Europe and beyond. And of course the exchange of ideas and experiences between experienced digital rights advocates and those, who want to start taking action themselves!
