@skinnylatte Nice! I lost a lot of film rolls like you say. And due to a hard disk crash a lot of the scanned pictures as well… including those from our only trip to the Taj Mahal. Remember getting there very early to get shots without too many people. All the effort and the fruits of the labor lost. But some scenes are etched in memory (until that crashes at least ;-)

Had ~50 pretty chickens in 2020. Lost that flock to avian flu soon after. Now I have one. I should get more birds.

Went out #birding after a very very long time. In fact just the second time this year (2025 has not been a great year in a lot of ways 🤦🏾). But was happy to shoot more than 500 frames of a family of great horned owls and 4 frames of an acorn woodpecker ;-)

Came back in a very happy frame of mind …

Now back to the damned interviews… 🥱

#landscape #photography is 90% serendipity - you never get what you go looking for almost all the time. I went to shoot the Milky Way but it was so foggy that not a single star was visible, let alone a constellation… but was very happy to see some beautiful bioluminescence :)
