I have been genuinely baffled by the cries to put self-promotion behind a CW since I started using Mastodon in earnest this fall.
I know that everyone uses social media differently, but I want to know what people are working on. I want to know about new books or albums or apps or podcasts or whatever. I want to know who is looking for help via crowdfunding.
I care about the whole person, not a persona they're forced into by arbitrary rules.

I've waited a few days to post this about the #mastodonmigration. Here is the evolution of the new accounts in #mastodon after the events in the last week. After each new ban/suspension in the #bluebird we see a spike in new accounts in #mastodon. But recent growth seems to be more steady at around 50k per day. Since the #bluebird purchase by Musk, more than 3 million new accounts were created in #mastodon.
I know this is a rough time of year for many people. (It's not an especially easy time of year for me, either.)

Not sure we have quite enough of a crowd built up here to throw a wide net for some #diy help, but here goes:
Anyone have a good method to re-color grout? My new home has tubs tiled and grouted in blue and white and yellow and white respectively, but for some reason the previous owners did both backsplashes with white tile and black grout.
Almost all commercial grout colorants are in shades of gray. I would really love to get, at minimum, one bathroom grout colored in blue.
Help?
@Kafritz I’ve def seen blue grout (online though, not in a big box store). I used Mapai grout refresh a little over a year ago and have been pleased with how it’s held up. Not sure if they have blue, but maybe white can be dyed?
