Optimal Optimus was good but Primal Prime (see what they did there?) is, according to his BotCon/3H/FunPub creators, actually the "Living Matrix"! The Vok utilising that leftover predacon built Optimal-model that Quickstrike drove and filling it with energy from the dormant Optimus Prime's Matrix of Leadership! Primal Prime then went on to captain a motley crew of Wreckers and fail to stop the start of a Multiversal War. Good times. 😁
I've adored this character ever since laying eyes on him in those old Wreckers comics. I missed out on Perfect Effect's stunning Gorira Prime release due to cost (then beyond my means) but I scored TranArts' much cheaper figure with a hefty discount so time really does heal all wounds.
That vacuum-metallized plastic alongside the transparency...the obvious Optimus Prime influence...omg he's a sumptuous feast for the eyes.
Just don't call him PP.
