I would love to have a simple read later functionality inside Obsidian and for that I installed actions.work/actions-for-obsid. My naive idea was: Use a specific note as readlater "database" and append whatever is in the clipboard to that note.

That kind of works in general, but most of the time only if I do it a second time after the first try opens obsidian and then fails or times out. Does anyone have a better idea? I would love not to require a plugin for that.

A screenshot of a read later shortcut in iOS. It collects the content from the clipboard, saves it into a variable, opens an obsidian note "Links to keep" in my main vault and appends the content of the variable to the end of the note (in theory).

#Obsidian 1.9 changes its front matter format for array values, so "tags: tag1, tag2, tag3" no longer works. If your vault is full of front matter in that format (aliases, note IDs etc.), then here's what you can do about it:

Ein Schmuckbild: Auf dem Bild ist ein Schreibtisch mit einem Computer zu sehen. Der Computer hat einen großen Bildschirm, auf dem mehrere Fenster mit Listen sichtbar sind. I'm happy to report that Actions For Obsidian 2024.2.2 is out for both #macOS and #iOS (after an excitingly speedy App Store review time of only 7h). It's a maintenance release but one you shouldn't skip, especially on Mac!

Actions For Obsidian 2024.2.1 is finally available for macOS!

This minor release adds a workaround for a bug introduced in Sequoia which would make existing actions which got their note file path from another AFO action ask for a file path, when before they did not. 🤷🏻‍♂️
