Python neophyte predicament of the day: Do I use dependency injection, or signaling (via blinker) for this project?
I'm doing dependency injection at the moment. It's working (and I understand it) - though I am worried about backing myself into a corner because I currently have one class instance that I'm injecting into two other objects as dependencies.
One of the modules is threaded via concurrent futures so I might be better off using as_completed.
For now the answer is probably "it doesn't matter because whatever you choose is going to be wrong soon anyway" since I'm so new at this. ha.

I have ADHD and Autism. I suffer from executive dysfunction and severe social anxiety.
I'm taking a week off from work so I can finally talk to the insurance about fixing our basement that flooded in January 2024. It's been torn up and unusable since they ripped up the carpet, tore out the lower half of the drywall, and drained all the water over a year ago.
Our cats have been living in our sunroom.
We haven't watched TV because the wall where we mounted it is gone.
It's an urgent need but I have to take a week off in order to push through the multiple unscripted conversations it will take, to have the energy to let strangers into our house.
I am disabled.
I am.
So why do I keep thinking I'm broken?
Why do I tell myself to "try harder"?
Why do I feel like a failure as a wife, cat mom, and home keeper?
So much needs to be done and I just can't.
I can't.
And that's hard to admit.
It has to get done. Before my wife became disabled, we managed better. We were still not getting it all done, but we split duties. We supported each other.
Now she can't do what she used to. I understand that. I afford her a great deal of grace, kindness, and understanding.
She understands my limitations and doesn't nag or complain or fret.
I can't figure out how to give myself the same consideration.
"She deserves better."
"I should do better."
"I deserve better."
We all deserve better, especially right now.
We deserve better, but we have to settle for what we have.

for the last 3+ weeks i’ve been working with a self-wielded sword of damocles at my own throat, because i could not stand the way the company i work for was treating its developers.
today i feel redeemed. the powers that be finally seem to recognize from whence their powers derive (hint: it’s devs) and are starting to come around to how to work with us.
bottom line is: align yourself with the people who want to #GetShitDone, and not the people in love with #AnalysisParalysis.

Meanwhile, the work is delayed.
So recently I was having some #AnalysisParalysis with my #Games collection. Those I own, those I wanted to play, those I haven't finished yet, and missing trophies too. It was like 3 or 4 days stuck like that 😭
Watching a video about it on YouTube of Healthy Gamer GG gave me some insight about the issue and ways of reducing that kind of symptoms.
Mainly I reduced my options, lowered my attachment to my #PS3 and gave myself a longer time limit for completing my objectives, to reduce the anxiety
Every time I think about joining a #peertube instance, I start looking at hosting my own. Then I start thinking that's just overkill for my needs (but could be fun). Then I just go back to not using it at all. #analysisparalysis
