Fortnite wraca do amerykańskiego App Store

Epic Games po raz drugi złożyło Fortnite do App Store w USA, po tym jak przez ponad 120 godzin nie otrzymało odpowiedzi od Apple w sprawie pierwszego wniosku.

Firma potrzebowała zatwierdzenia nowej wersji gry z cotygodniową aktualizacją, dlatego wycofała poprzednią i złożyła nową.

Apple wcześniej zbanowało główne konto deweloperskie Epic Games za złamanie zasad App Store w 2020 roku. Obecnie Fortnite został zgłoszony z konta Epic Games Sweden – europejskiej spółki zależnej, powiązanej z uruchomieniem alternatywnego sklepu z aplikacjami w UE.

Apple teoretycznie musi dopuścić Fortnite, ponieważ zgodnie z decyzją sądu deweloperzy w USA mogą teraz przekierowywać użytkowników do zewnętrznych systemów płatności – co było głównym powodem wcześniejszego bana. Apple odwołuje się od wyroku, ale musi go tymczasowo respektować.

Apple judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers just ruled that, effective immediately, Apple is no longer allowed to collect fees on purchases made outside apps and blocks the company from restricting how developers can point users to where they can make purchases outside of apps. Has anyone out there on apple, using family sharing for purchases figured out how to do this simple thing?

I want to have two cards, one to share with my family, the other for my subscriptions. The idea being that they can then use the shared card for purchases, but the subscriptions card only gets used for monthly subscriptions.

As far as I can tell, apple has the most brain dead payment system on the planet. You can specify multiple cards. but it NEVER USES anything but the defualt, and your family cant choose their own payments even. This level of bullsh!t is what makes me frustrated with apple.
