Consequences is the debut album by the New York Contemporary Five featuring saxophonists Archie Shepp and John Tchicai, trumpeter Don Cherry, bassist Don Moore and drummer J. C. Moses. The album was released on the Fontana label in 1966.

...A reviewer for Rough Trade wrote: "Their scorching music — aided by the supple and hard-hitting rhythm section of Don Moore and J. C. Moses — is a thrilling mix of adventurous soloing and post-bop structures, memorable heads and go-for-broke improv... What's still remarkable about these tunes is their sense of internal tension. They're wound tighter than a magnet coil, without sacrificing any spontaneity. There's little that's strictly free about this jazz, but it's full of reckless and unexpected drama all the same."

Archie Shepp - Four for Trane

Co-produced by Coltrane, this is Shepp's Impulse debut, featuring, as you might expect, all tracks penned by Coltrane.

But that doesn't mean they're *profoundly* altered by Archie Shepp and crew.

Shepp (sax) is joined by John Tchicai (alto), Alan Shorter (trumpet - Wayne's brother), Roswell Rudd (trombone), Reggie Workman (bass), and Charles Moffett (drums)/

Steam is a live album by jazz saxophonist Archie Shepp recorded at the East-West Jazz Festival in Nuremberg, West Germany on May 14, 1976 and released on the Enja label.

The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow states: "The avant-garde innovator Shepp still sounds pretty strong at what was for him a fairly late period, displaying his distinctive raspy tone and what were for him some typically emotional ideas" - Wikipedia

New Africa is an album by American trombonist Grachan Moncur III recorded in 1969 and released on the BYG Actuel label in the same year. It features alto saxophonist Roscoe Mitchell (Art Ensemble of Chicago), pianist Dave Burrell, bassist Alan Silva and drummer Andrew Cyrille. Tenor saxophonist Archie Shepp performs on the final track.

A reviewer of Dusty Groove wrote: "Excellent work from trombonist Grachan Moncur III – famous for his 60s work on Blue Note and with Archie Shepp, sounding as great here as he did on those recordings! The session features Moncur hitting an Archie Shepp-ish, spiritual vein in his playing..." - Wikipedia

The looks that I get from colleagues while apparently I'm playing music on my headphones a tad too loud and Archie Shepp is butchering "The Girl from Ipanema".
"what the hell is he listening to!?"

Butchering in a good way, btw. Obviously.

Air is an album by Cecil Taylor recorded for the Candid label in October 1960. The album features performances by Taylor with Archie Shepp, Buell Neidlinger, Denis Charles and Sunny Murray.

A review at AllMusic states: "Avant-garde icon Cecil Taylor has a superfluity of gems in his catalogue, but his recordings from the early 1960s have a special significance in that they represent the pianist's transition from a traditional post-bop approach to his more abstract stylings. Lyrical, bluesy, and driven by bold improvisation, 1960's Air is an excellent example of Taylor's early work. Along with saxophonist Archie Shepp (who sits in on two numbers) and a sharp, tight-knit rhythm section, Taylor can be heard stretching the jazz canvas of the era, forming the radical vocabulary he would master on landmark albums like 1966's Unit Structures.."
