Now I have been listed as a carer for my partner (although I did not get any benefits while in the role, not needing that sort of support), so this might have been genuine - the url and the deadlines (even by DWP standards) were a bit of a giveaway and I suspect this was a random chancer text message.

It’s really sad that this is the state of the world now, but I received this US Census letter and my first thought was to assume that it might be a scam because normally the national census goes out every 10 years and the next one isn’t due until 2030. On the inside, it mentions that they are looking for ways to save taxpayer money and I immediately thought it must be something to do with Doge. 🙄 In any case, I hate giving this current administration any personal information about myself. Although who am I kidding, I’m sure they already have everything they could possibly want.

Another Into the Odd hack, the third and my sixth game in a week (phew!). My randomly generated character is an insubstantial servant who died and became a ghost when pursuing riches. However he can touch magical things which proves useful as we try to reconstruct the Moon God. But the finished article proves too much. I started out dead and finished dead and mad. It was jolly good fun.

Well, I got cornered by my boss and the scheduler to talk about miscommunication between myself and the scheduler so we can get things done right. Naturally I got defensive because they all but said that I must do my job better.
After some digging, I discovered that I did nothing wrong! An updated schedule gets put out on Friday and my department isn't in Fridays so how they hell am I supposed to plan my production based on a schedule I haven't seen?? Bastards.

"On Tuesday Jan 7 at 10:44 am I got a video text from Ler Lalonde with the words “Here we go!” in the caption. The video showed flames and a large plume of smoke coming down the hillside above his house.

Since that moment Larry “Ler” Lalonde and his family have been on an emotional roller coaster that I can only imagine in my worst nightmares. He, and many others like him, lost their homes and possessions that very day. But Ler, being the positive happy-go-lucky fella that he is, has been surprisingly upbeat and has continued to be very professional and selfless in his commitments to Primus and the fans by moving forward with the process of auditioning a slew of drummers in the midst of trying to put his and his family’s lives back together. I am amazed by his resilience and his commitment to keep moving forward.

Something sinister is going on. I write a lot of emails to people, with my name (Martin) clearly stated at the bottom. For decades this has worked perfectly well.

But now they have all started replying and calling me Martyn.

Why TF would they do that?

My usual response is to reply by changing any i in their name to a y too. If the don't have any then I sometimes just do it everywhere in the email.

Seriously pisses me off. I know it shouldn't but it does. #bastards
