Hahaha, the employees will benefit too, with 1000 shares. The ones they didn't sack of course.
When they sold Telstra, I got shares in the float as an employee, but with an interest free loan paid by the dividends.
When the value of the shares equaled the value of the loan, Telstra sold them and paid off the debt.
So I never got the shares, or the dividends, but was liable to pay tax on the dividends.
Bet it didn't happen to the CEO.
