Und wenn jedes cambio-Fahrzeug Drölfmillionen private PKW ersetzen würde, gälte trotzdem noch die StVO und anderen Verkehrsteilnehmenden den Platz wegzunehmen und sie zum Ausweichen zu zwingen, wobei sie sich u.U. in gefährliche Situationen (fließender Verkehr) begeben müssen ist nicht nur verboten sondern auch moralisch völlig daneben.

When they built the new tram line, they removed many parking spaces. This impacts the people that drop off or pick up kids at the school. Luckily, they built a 10 spaces parking for just that just 20m away.

Yet people keep parking in the middle of an emergency passage ('firefighter acces') just not to walk 20-80m extra. I managed to co vince one to go and park properly, while a sencond one became agressive.

Ich wurde auch schon angepöbelt, als ich einen Fahrlehrer bei laufender Fahrstunde auf den geringen Überholabstand hingewiesen habe.

Da wird sich erst etwas ändern, wenn Sprit endlich teuer ist.

Sprach mich ein Autofahry an, ich sollte da weg; nach Erklärung, warum ich da stand, sah er ein(!), dass der Fahrradständer nicht ging; meinte aber, ich solle doch einen der freien Plätze "dahinten" benutzen, statt den letzten freien in der Nähe des Markteingangs.

It’s underappreciated, I think, when casually talking about #CarBrain and #TheWarOnCars how much cars are many people’s “second homes.” They eat in them, make calls, sleep, play games, and feel apart from the world around them when inside. Not unrelated is also why people’s cars become their only homes when they lose housing.

So... I've realised I actually hate bike lanes.

I'm not against the concept. It's just the theory and the reality don't match.

On roads, I expect idiot car brains and so I'm always on alert for them.

On cycle lanes, I expect to be more safe. But I'm not. The part of my commute where I'm on the high road is fine. As soon as I get to the part with dedicated cycle lanes, I'll encounter idiot cyclists who cycle in the wrong lane (there are lanes on each side of the road for cycles, so there's no excuse) almost leading to collisions. Idiots on illegal mopeds (they are not e-bikes, they are mopeds, whatever they want to claim) think they have a right to use their frickin throttle powered bike on the cycle lane. There will be pedestrians strolling along the cycle lane claiming right of way (I had to avoid one man with a freaking baby in a pushchair walking right towards me, even though there was plenty of space on the pavement, because he refused to move). Or a few weeks ago, an actual freaking car driving at right angles actually totally over the cycle lane right as I was about to go past. I wish I'd kicked his car, absolute car-brained prick. The pic shows where it happened. The man with the pushchair was around the same area.

Idiots upon idiots.

And this is why I have stopped cycling to work.
