It's too late now, but I wonder if it isn't an opportunity lost not to have some kind of "#CreativeCommons Declaration for Mastodon Fair Use", not in terms of content copyright but infrastructure civic use? Like CC it can't be enforced, but at least it would build moral pressure not to assist the Dark Fediverse with even more tools to wreak their havoc... @dougschuler, what do you think from a #CivicIntelligence perspective?
