Today, I facilitated a workshop of 20 people on #GitHub #Copilot and all its features.
What an amazing experience and energy from the participants, feeling the power of agent mode.
It definitely have its downsides. One of the participants asked the question:
“What do I do if I think Agent Mode is taking all the fun out of my job?”
Tough question. Do we even have a choice at this point?

We put GitHub Copilot Agent Mode to the test with two timeboxed workshops — real engineers, real tasks, real scepticism.

And besides this malware can also be used for emailing but its primary purpose is surveillance. I never understood why people would want to install and use it. If I was an antivirus vendor, I'd classify Outlook as spyware and prohibit internet access and prevent it from creating, editing or deleting any data on a computer. 🦠

So, I'm looking for some help with #neovim with #CodeCompanion and #MCPHub.
My company pays for #Copilot.
CodeCompanionChat works well, connected to #Claude.
I have MCPHub with the #Git #MCP working if I use @mcp to explicitly make all the MCPs available.
But the doc says I should have working completions for things like @git_commit. Which I don't.
I know it's a niche but hey, worth a shot.
Fun fact is LLMs don't help with that :-/

#Copilot "Think Deeper" mode is much more useful than Quick Response. For coding, it has a "Senior Dev" posture (even alludes to it) including saying "ping if you've a question" and talking vague, defensive BS in circles.
That's a ✅ on ego and mumbo-jumbo parts of senior dev.
