A breeding pair of well camouflaged Gallinago gallinago ( 🇬🇧 #CommonSnipe | 🇩🇪 #Bekassine ). Can you find them?
They breed in wetlands (often mires) with dense vegetation in mid and north Eurasia.

Length: up to 20 cm with an additional 7 cm long beak
Food: small animals of upper soil layers

Conservation status in Europe: Vulnerable (VU)
in Germany: danger of extinction (RL 1)

Objectively terrible photo but the first Snipe I've ever managed to find all by myself 👊. Doubly satisfying because I've always suspected the reed beds at the flood storage pond near my parents' house must be good snipe habitat but never managed to actually spot one there until today!
