Two years ago I’d not have believed it. A year ago I’d like to have been able to believe it. Today started with me taking part in my gym’s #CrossFitOpen contest (a mix of people of all ages (18 to 70+) and all abilities (me to them)) and I’ve just come back from a 6k run (the change in the weather and some sunshine is too big a pull to go #running after all the recent rain). I guess it’s never too late to change your lifestyle.

* 3 Dumbbell Hang Cleans + Shoulder to Overhead
* 15m walking lunges

Every round, add 3 burpees and 3 db hang cleans and shoulder to overheads.

I went with the scaled version, which means 15kg dumbbell.

Finished 162 reps. Iz dead.

- 5 arch to hollow hang
- 5/5 down dog to twisted lizard
- 5/5 deep squat with twist
- 5/5 thread the needle
- 5/5 90-90

Workout: CrossFit Open 24.3 - Time Cap 15 minutes
- 5 rounds
- 10 thrusters (20 kg)
- 10 jumping chest to bars (-> jumping chin ups)
- 1 minute rest
- 5 rounds
- 7 thrusters (29 kg -> 25 kg because HAHAHAH)
- 7 chin ups (-> banded pull ups)

Got time capped after the first thruster of round 3 of part 2. This was deadly. I do not want to see 24.3 ever again.

* 7 bar muscle-ups / chin-overs

Did the scaled version - first 5 rounds in 8'34", but then started with the thrusters at 43kg which was just too much.

I managed to clean it, but not get it up in the air.

Bummer!

#crossfit #crossfitopen #workout 24.3 went ok. I tried to get to the bar muscle ups, but time was up during my first set of heavy thrusters. That was what I expected after doing Fran on Wednesday with meh results.

- 150 m row / 200 m row
- 5 dead lifts (increase weight)
- 15 dubs (7 cal / 15 cal erg-bike)

Workout: CrossFit Open 24.2 20 min AMRAP
- 300 m row
- 10 dead lifts (43 kg)
- 50 double unders (-> 15 cal erg-bike because of my ankle)

Managed 8 calories on the 6th round (515ish reps), and then I spent 10 minutes with shaky achey hands.

- 5/5 supine toes to opposite hand on floor
- Puppy at the wall

Workout:
- 21 L arm dumbbell snatches (RX 22,5/15 - Scaled 15/10 kg - did 10 kg)
- 21 burpees over the dumbbell
- 21 R arm snatches
- 21 burpees over the dumbbell
- 15 L arm snatches
- 15 burpees over the dumbbell
- 15 R arm snatches
- 15 burpees over the dumbbell
- 9 L arm snatches
- 9 burpees over the dumbbell
- 9 R arm snatches
- 9 burpees over the dumbbell

Finished in 12:05, surprised myself I could 21 unbroken snatches with the 10 kg DB. And shared it with my be(a)sty girl, which was fun.

"Open 24.1" aka death by burpee

In the warm-up burpees hurt quite badly - to the point I wasn't even sure a snatch would go.

Coach replaced burpees by bike-erg for calories, and the snatches went "ok" by really launching through my legs.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to regret this tomorrow...

Time was 11'50"
