Two years ago Iβd not have believed it. A year ago Iβd like to have been able to believe it. Today started with me taking part in my gymβs #CrossFitOpen contest (a mix of people of all ages (18 to 70+) and all abilities (me to them)) and Iβve just come back from a 6k run (the change in the weather and some sunshine is too big a pull to go #running after all the recent rain). I guess itβs never too late to change your lifestyle.

(1/2) It's a wrap for CrossFit Open 2025!! #CrossFit #CrossFitOpen The Deadlift weight was heavy for me. I was aiming to finish the Cleans for 25.3, and I ended up getting through the Snatches + 1 Wall Walk! 146 reps This Open is especially meaningful to me...

Every round, add 3 burpees and 3 db hang cleans and shoulder to overheads.
I went with the scaled version, which means 15kg dumbbell.
Finished 162 reps. Iz dead.

- 10 jumping chest to bars (-> jumping chin ups)

- 7 thrusters (29 kg -> 25 kg because HAHAHAH)
- 7 chin ups (-> banded pull ups)
Got time capped after the first thruster of round 3 of part 2. This was deadly. I do not want to see 24.3 ever again.

Did the scaled version - first 5 rounds in 8'34", but then started with the thrusters at 43kg which was just too much.
I managed to clean it, but not get it up in the air.

- 10 dead lifts (43 kg)
- 50 double unders (-> 15 cal erg-bike because of my ankle)
Managed 8 calories on the 6th round (515ish reps), and then I spent 10 minutes with shaky achey hands.

Finished in 12:05, surprised myself I could 21 unbroken snatches with the 10 kg DB. And shared it with my be(a)sty girl, which was fun.

"Open 24.1" aka death by burpee
In the warm-up burpees hurt quite badly - to the point I wasn't even sure a snatch would go.
Coach replaced burpees by bike-erg for calories, and the snatches went "ok" by really launching through my legs.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to regret this tomorrow...
Time was 11'50"
