#CrossQuiltingChallenge3 is finally finished! The project to the left is finished according to kit instructions except ribbon instead of embroidery floss for a hanging loop. The one to the right is adapted to #CrossQuilting, only the main outlines on front & back & the stitching for the... (1)

#CrossQuiltingChallenge2 is finished! First 2 pics are the front & back of the kit finished (mostly) according 2 kit instructions (I added cording instead of just using floss for a hanging loop). Second 2 pics are front & back panels once kit was adapted to #CrossQuilting. (1)

These are detail pics of the same "Owls" kit, but adapted to #CrossQuilting to finish. I added a border, a ribbon to hang, and backstitch around the heart so it would also be visible on the back.

Okay! The 1st of the Husband-inspired #CrossQuilting Challenges is finished! The project 2 the left is finished according 2 kit instructions (see 3rd pic of kit cover sheet); the one 2 the right uses the same basic pattern, but finished with Cross Quilting. I had 2 add a border & took the liberty of backstitching around the heart so it would show on the back. (1) #Handmade

Yeah...Recorded getting my materials together (which it wasn't supposed 2 do) & me suddenly shouting, "OH MY GOSH!!!" upon realizing...*nothing else was captured*!!! Even though my phone screen stayed lit & the memory shows I did an hour of record time. 😭

Just as an update: I *have* been working on the Husband-inspired #CrossQuilting #Challenge as described in the previous post to this. I do apologize things have been going a lot slower than I would like, as sometimes Life interrupts more than it should. 😮‍💨 BUT! I *have* gotten the first kit finished the way the kit instructs & am now working on the #CrossQuilted version!🎉😄🎉

I've been working on this the past few days--a kit called "Owls," manufactured by Design Works Crafts & designed by Marianne Savage. It's a bit of a bet between me & Husband that the directions for finishing this & 2 other kits will look nothing like when I use #CrossQuilting for a #CrossStitch #FinishingTechnique. Y'all wanna see the results when I'm finished? 😉

The front is cross stitched & the back is cross quilted to the front during what is normally the backstitch portion of the project. 😄 Not as beautiful as your work, but I like how it turned out! 😄 Pics are of both the front and back panels once finished.
