Eine Kreuzsticharbeit auf schwarzem Aida Stoff.
Sie zeigt 4 Regalböden gefüllt mit kleinen Zaubertrankflaschen.

Jedes Regal steht für einen Monat und hat entsprechend viele Flaschen.
Die Flaschen variieren in Größe und Form. Zwischen ihnen stehen Vasen und Blumentöpfe, ein Kelch und ein Becher.

A new headdress that I made during a course recently. It’s inspired by a traditional Swedish folk crown, called a Lad. Mine is not very traditional, other than it being traditional to make it as shiny as possible on a wool base.

I was inspired by the myth of Argos Panoptes, the giant who have his eyes to the peacock feathers in Greek mythology. You look at my hat, my hat looks right back.

To be honest this was an amazingly fun stash bust and I got to try out mirror sewing and beading in ways I hadn’t before. 10/10 will be doing another one.

I got a $10 no-minimum purchase coupon in my inbox yesterday, so I had to go out and spend it. I came home with something to organise my bobbins, which I will undoubtedly build up a collection of the more projects I start.

The shelf tag said $18 and I was prepared to pay $8, but it scanned in at $9.80. Win.

I'll still carry my ziploc bag of in-use bobbins for ease of transport. I'm thinking I might get one of those leather bracelets with a metal screw clasp or something to keep them from flying all over the place. Or one of those metal rings we used to use in highschool to keep papers together.

My ADHD brain really struggled with this one, but I'm glad I finished it.

It is written in the fictional language from the game Heaven's Vault, and (assuming that I translated it correctly) it means "hurt/harmed but alive".

The reason I like making those bag charms is because it’s a nice change from making animals. They’re a lot of fun and challenging in their own ways.

Lia’s fingers show a 25 by 3 inch wonky blob of black on black whipped backstitch that looks a bit like flames, but if you’ve been following this piece you’ll know it’s pubic hair. It’s definitely pubic hair. An hourglass-shaped needle minder that reads “this is taking forever” is attached to the cloth.

The little vintage plate was made by Arabia Finland, depicting a traditional costume of Häme, Finland. There is a series of five of these dishes showing different areas of the country but I only have this one.

Wirtschaftlich lohnt sich das natürlich überhaupt nicht und allein, dass ich die Zeit für so etwas habe, ist ein Privileg. Aber es ist ein gutes Gefühl, Schönes zu schaffen.
