A lot of ladybugs in the garden this year. I showed the neighbor children the larvae that were going to attach themselves to the leaves and they kept coming to see if they had already changed into the well-known adult form. I wished adults would be just as interested in nature. 🐞🧡

I got dragged outside to diagnose a suspected C. argiolus & instead only got to see this seven-spot ladybird (Coccinella septempunctata). Better than nothing & at least not one of its Asian relatives.

On a side not, I'm blocking anyone sharing posts by Thomas Hörren & other Krefeld Society members for intentionally withholding their conflict of interest in regards to their business with malaise traps. (Their study also is complete BS.)
