Harvested some carrots I planted in 2024 and had forgotten about. I think they were 'Parijse Markt 4," a packet I found in a cute garden store at the Amsterdam airport a few years ago. Sous vided for 90 mins, then sautéed in a cast-iron skillet with butter and maple syrup. #carrots #daucus #gardening #cooking

The flower-head is an umbel, many flowers open in a flat-faced structure. Once pollinated, they curve up into this cup-shaped form. Each spiky little thing in there is a single seed. At the Strathcona Community Garden, Vancouver, BC, Canada (Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh).

Hier: Kennt ihr die wilde Karotte? Durch die namensgebend Mohrenblüte (Möhre) scheint es für vorbeifliegende Insekten so, als ob schon jemand dort speist und sie gesellen sich dazu, ähnlich einem Restaurant in dem schon wer sitzt.

Ce sont deux carottes, l’une a été semée en pleine terre et l autre est issue des plants de carottes réalisés par nos soins.

- La carotte blanche est celle qui a été semé en plein terre 2 semaines avant la réalisation des plants de carottes en serre.
- La carotte orange provient des plants de carottes produit en serre, elle ont été plantés en plein terre dès qu’elle ont obtenus leurs deux feuilles.
