My submission (final artwork below!) was accepted for the #DesertBusForHope #Craftalong Any recommendations on what yarn to use? I can't seem to find all the colors I need in Caron Simply Soft which is what I used last year. I need something that is nice but inexpensive because I will need at least one skein each of 14 different colors. Still fine tuning things on my submission for the #craftalong It still has a ways to go but I am happy with the direction its going. I must have changed the background colors about 50 times at least. Idk what to do with the top, it needs something but idt the mossy fringe is it. A unicorn (specifically the Unicorn/Lady Amalthea from The Last Unicorn movie, based on the book by Peter S. Beagle) rests on a mossy mound surrounded by lilac bushes, trees, and small blossoms. The uicorn is white with blue hair and a purple horn and eyes, the grass and moss are green, as well as the bulk of the trees behind her. The flowers on the trees are pink while the ones on the mound are dandelion tufts and small pink and yellow blooms.

This is identical to the previous image only there is a swath of mossy fringe in the upper third of the image.

I think I’ve finally decided what to pitch for this years #desertbusforhope #Craftalong I will submit my idea sometime this week and iron out the finer details while I wait to hear back. It’s going to be a #tapestrycrochet piece like last year but slightly bigger scale.
