Yesterday I stopped at #DollarTree and bought a roll of Mega Smarties candies. They're like Smarties (the U.S. kind) but significantly bigger.
I ate them all yesterday as I sat at my computer.
I've been craving them today. I feel like I may go to Dollar Tree again soon.

I popped into Dollar Tree this morning to pick up some pencils and a notebook. As I looked around the gaudy toys and shoddy household goods, I wondered if the tariffs would mean trouble for Dollar Tree.
That momentary worry was quite uncalled for. As this article explains, Dollar Tree expects Joe Public to suck it up!

So, I was at Dollar Tree the other day and saw a Skippy Peanut Butter candy bar from Pearson's candy. It's a salted nut roll with a peanut buttery center.
To me, it looked like a PayDay bar and I love those, so I decided to try it out.
Let me tell you - it is great.
Basically, it's peanuts. Lots of peanuts with a loose, peanut butter flavored center. While it has some caramel in the center roll part of the bar, all I tasted was peanuts and peanut butter while eating it. Which, is fantastic to me.
The one downside is that the peanuts do not adhere as well to the center roll as you see on a PayDay, so I'd have random peanuts just falling off as I ate the bar.
That said, would get again. 100%. Really liked it.

That there was a Warheads Sour! Green Apple Soda? Neither did I until I found it at the Dollar Tree.
I mean, I just had to try it. I love gimmicky sodas, even if they end up tasting terrible. This one, though, was a big surprise.
I poured some out for myself and each of my kids. We all took a sip and, at once, recognize that it tasted like biting into a sweet, green apple. No sour taste or aftertaste. It just tasted like a sweet, green apple. Weirdly realistic flavor, even more so than a regular green apple candy.
Looking at the ingredients list, it had a all sorts of malic acid - so it SHOULD have been sour. But, to us - no sourness. Just sweetness. The kids really liked it. We may be looking for it again next Dollar Tree visit.
TL;DR - Warheads Sour! Green Apple Soda is better than it has any right to be, actually tasting like a green apple and not very sour. Would drink again.
