If for some reason you have one of Bezos' Li'l Snitches in your house and it's rolled out the new voice (a lot younger-sounding, kinda creepy), turn to it now, say its name and tell it to "turn off follow-up mode." The new voice wasn't the only change (of course); it now listens actively to the conversation and inserts comments where no one asked for feedback.

Here's an update thread on some #CTSS things I did on the train to Brussels. Firstly, I started to label the dependency diagram for the #kernel with my best guess at what each module does. Fortunately the #dot layout does seem to correspond quite nicely to the logical grouping of functionality.

I've extracted the dependency graph for the #ctss #kernel, and I have to say it's not the most elegant #architecture I've seen. The graph is derived from the linking instructions (ENTRY and EXTERN statements) between each of the source files within the mit8c0 archive, exported to #dot via a small #python script.

MAIN8C at the top contains the startup entry point. CLOC8H to the left is the handler for the real-time clock interrupt, which is used to implement multitasking, and I think CTRL8F is the main 'take the next task off the queue and do it' routine.
